Congratulations to GMCT CEO Jacqui Weatherill who has been named one of Victoria’s Top 50 Public Sector Women.

Jacqui was recognised for her inspirational leadership in the Victorian public sector at a special awards night hosted last night by Davidson, specialists in recruitment and human resource consulting.

Jacqui was nominated for the award by GMCT staff for the contribution she has made since she commenced as CEO in 2012.

"To be nominated by my staff for this award is heartening, as it means I am doing something right in our workplace to be given such respect,” Jacqui said.

"I am honoured to be selected for this award alongside such high calibre women.”

In her time at GMCT, Jacqui has established herself as a trusted leader and has been the driving force behind a range of initiatives which have benefited our communities. These Initiatives include the introduction of our organisational values of compassion, respect, integrity and sustainability; the development of new facilities and infrastructure; and the growth of our community advisory committee.

"I love the work I do and the support I can give to aspiring leaders,” Jacqui said.

"I have been supported throughout my career by many great mentors and I acknowledge that I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.

"My advice to aspiring leaders is to be passionate about what you do, pick organisations whose values resonate with your own and be open to opportunities.”
