The Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement (ACGB) ran a free online webinar for people who are missing their loved ones during the pandemic, including those who have loved ones living in aged care facilities.
Presented by Jim Monahan, the webinar is designed for people with a family member or other loved ones in assisted living, skilled nursing facilities, or other location and are unable to visit due to coronavirus-related/ safety restrictions.

About the presenter - Jim Monahan
Jim Monahan has over 25 years of hospice experience, including patient care, bereavement support and executive leadership. Jim has a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology – Counselling and has been a Licensed Professional Counsellor in Texas and a Certified Grief Counsellor. Jim has been named “Consultant” by the Chinese Association for Life Care in Beijing and was named “Director of the Year” by the Texas & New Mexico Hospice Organisation. He has lectured about grief, patient care, and hospice in England, Australia, New Zealand, China, Portugal and Barbados. He has authored numerous publications, including co-authoring a chapter with J. Worden, Ph.D. on parental grief in the book, “Hospice Care for Children” published by Oxford University Press.
