About the venue
With an impressive peaked ceiling made of timber, Templestowe Chapel seats around 70 people, with standing room at the back.
The white granite interior walls, with built in cremation memorial crypts, border the elegant wooden pews.
Lights edge the boundary of the chapel, illuminating the room in a soft yellow glow. The catafalque sits centre stage, allowing for a set space for the coffin or casket to be placed during the service. There is an old style piano available for use during the service.
Please note that GMCT staff will not be available as chapel attendants.
We recommend DVD formats for your presentations, as the photo presentations are played from a standard DVD player. Most funeral directors can assist with these as they are either created in-house or outsourced to professionals.
We will not accept USB, Laptops and Power Point presentations.
Music must be an AUDIO COMPACT DISC not a Data Compact Disc (The Compact Disc player will not play data files i.e. MP3, WMA or WAV files). For simplicity we highly recommend using a single Audio Compact Disc with the required music tracks in order of the playlist for the service.
To book the Templestowe Chapel for a service, please ask your Funeral Director to liaise with GMCT’s Bookings team. For members of the public bookings enquiries, please contact 1300 022 298.
A number of refreshment options are available at the function room to suit your needs.
The reception room is available for hire, regardless of where the burial or cremation will take place.
To book a function at Templestowe Cemetery please contact Celeste Catering on (03) 9355 3195 or by email to email@example.com. If you are using a Funeral Director, please ask them to make the arrangements on your behalf.
