Opened in January 1961, the park is beautifully landscaped, offering a floral lawn cemetery and extensive memorial gardens. Services and facilities available at Altona Memorial Park include burial, cremation, memorialisation, chapels and a function venue.

Burial options
Altona Memorial Park is a lawn cemetery featuring landscaped lawns and plaque memorials and a limited number of upright headstones. A standard grave accommodates two interments. There is also a special children's section.

Full monumental (non-lawn) graves or mausoleum crypts are available at our Williamstown or Werribee Cemeteries.
Cremation
Altona Memorial Park provides cremation services in a new purpose-built crematorium facility, including:

Altona Memorial Park features two modern chapels for the hosting of funeral and memorial services. Featuring comfortable appointments, décor and ambience plus the latest audio visual equipment, the Chapels of Peace and Repose are the ideal setting to hold a service for a loved one. Following a service, families can choose to relax and reminisce with family and friends over a cup of tea and refreshments.
