Stonemasons

This page contains information for stonemasons that work with us and at our cemeteries.

Welcome to our stonemasons’ information page. This page is designed to support you while working with us or at one of our cemeteries.

Fact file

To enable us to continue to provide you with updated measurements and specifications as new locations become available, the fact file has been divided into two parts:

Part A: contains all of the information a stonemason requires in order to apply to GMCT for a permit with confidence. It details the process, procedures and policies.

Part B: is a dynamic document that will be constantly updated as new locations become available. Only locations with validated product dimensions are loaded into Part B.

The versions (with links) are below.

Pricing publications 2024-25

A range of pricing publications are available for your information and to use with your clients. A key document for your work as a stonemason is the Stonemasonry Permits guide, outlining all the permit fees to work at our sites.

Stonemasonry Permits 2024-25

(Version 1, published 10 May 2024)

This document outlines the price of permits that enable stonemasons to complete masonry work on headstones, monuments and plaques at all GMCT locations with the exception of Footscray General Cemetery.*

*For Footscray information see Footscray General Cemetery in Products and Prices 2024-25.

While we make all reasonable endeavours to keep our price list and fees up to date, not all products and services are available at all cemeteries.

For more information on pricing, and to view our full list of pricing publications, please visit the Products, Services and Prices page by clicking the link below.
