Gai Jatra is a culturally and emotionally significant day for the Nepalese community, serving as a unique way to honor family members who have passed away during the previous year. Unlike traditional memorials, Gai Jatra is not purely a day of mourning; it is a carnival that uses humor and satire to help people accept the reality of death.
