Soil Mound Removal
Start Date: 12 January 2026
Duration: Approximately 4-6 months
Next week, our contractor will begin removing the large soil mound currently on-site. We know this has been a significant concern for residents, both visually and due to dust. Its removal is an important step toward improving the environment and responding to your feedback.
What you can expect:
Removal will start from the rear of the site (approx. 180m from nearest homes) and progress in stages.
Water carts will be used consistently at the soil loading area.
Trucks travelling along May Street will have loads securely covered.
Dust suppression measures will continue throughout the process.
Andrew Street Sewer Upgrade
Timing: End of January to early February 2026 (approx. 1 week, weather permitting)
Construction Hours: 7am – 5pm
Following the May Street entrance upgrades last year, we’ll upgrade the sewer connection to integrate Northern Memorial Park’s system with the municipal network — helping future-proof essential infrastructure.
During these works:
Access will be restricted to local traffic only, with traffic controllers on-site.
A lane closure will be in place along Andrew Street.
The southern footpath on Andrew Street will remain closed outside working hours until works are complete.
