Welcomed by GMCT CEO Andrew Eriksen and General Manager of Greenfield Development Steve Allan, attendees then joined a site tour led by West Region Group General Manager Brendan Koch, gaining firsthand insight into the vision and progress shaping this unique memorial park.
The visit included a tour of future burial areas, where discussions focused on GMCT's community-informed approach to cemetery development and the role these spaces will play in serving future generations.
Conversations also highlighted our ongoing partnership with Wurundjeri Elders and the importance of embedding cultural and environmental considerations throughout the project, ensuring Harkness Memorial Park reflects both community needs and the surrounding landscape.
As the tour continued, members explored key areas of the development and discussed the long-term vision for the park, including the opportunities that will emerge as the project evolves.
