It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of our friend, colleague and CEO, Deb Ganderton. After treatment for cancer, Deb’s health recently declined. We are all shocked and devastated by her sudden death.
Deb was much loved and highly regarded by the staff, Executive team and Trust of the Greater Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (GMCT). She joined GMCT in August 2017 as Director Service and Engagement and in September 2019, Deb was appointed CEO.
Deb epitomised our organisational values and was a caring member of the GMCT community. Working at GMCT was a vital part of her life. She would never miss an opportunity to enthusiastically celebrate what an incredible team she worked with.
While we move through this challenging period as an organisation, Andrew Eriksen has been appointed as interim CEO.
Genuinely wonderful and a force of nature, Deb has left a legacy and will be missed by all at the Greater Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust.
