River Red Gum Precinct

The River Red Gum Precinct at Northern Memorial Park spans 46 hectares, and is a unique memorial landscape flourishing with native flora and fauna.

We have developed this precinct in stages in accordance with the future needs of our communities. Our design encourages community connections to the natural environment for all visitors to the cemetery.

The memorial park features a tree-lined avenue, water features and, at its heart, an impressive, architectural memorial wall.

We have also incorporated a substantial habitat zone into the design. The habitat zone is a green, open space with native trees and shrubs in harmony with the natural features of the area, complementing our precious remnant river red gums.

We have the following burial areas now available in the River Red Gum Precinct at Northern Memorial Park:

  • Snow Gum A – a monumental area with pre-installed foundations so a monument can be erected.

  • Snow Gum B – a lawn headstone area with memorial gardens for cremated remains (ashes).

  • Ironbark B – a lawn plaque area with granite desktop. (A plaque affixed to the desktop)

  • Ironbark C – a lawn headstone area with granite headstone. (A plaque affixed to the headstone)

  • Stringybark A – a lawn plaque area with a concrete rest. (A plaque affixed to the rest)

  • Coral Gum C – a monumental, directional, single-row grave area, with pre-installed foundations so a monument can be erected.

Ample parking ensures ease of access for all visitors to burial areas in the River Red Gum Precinct.
