River Red Gum Precinct

The new River Red Gum Precinct at Northern Memorial Park spans 46 hectares, and is a unique memorial landscape flourishing with native flora and fauna.

We have developed this precinct in stages in accordance with a carefully designed master plan. Our design encourages community connections to the natural environment for all visitors to the cemetery.

Have a look at the movie to see how the River Red Gum Precinct has come to life.

The memorial park features a tree-lined avenue, water features and, at its heart, an impressive, architectural memorial wall.

We have also incorporated a substantial habitat zone into the design. The habitat zone is a green, open space with native trees and shrubs in harmony with the natural features of the area, complementing our precious remnant river red gums.

We have three burial areas now available in the River Red Gum Precinct at Northern Memorial Park:

  • Snow Gum monumental area has foundations for monumental memorials

  • Sugar Gum area has options in natural surrounds for traditional Muslim burials

  • Ironbark is a lawn graves - plaque area

Ample parking ensures ease of access for all visitors to burial areas in the River Red Gum Precinct.
