Monday to Sunday:

7.30am - 5.30pm

Vehicle access available during visiting hours.

About the venue

Located adjacent to what is now Fawkner railway station on the Upfield line, the Fawkner Memorial Park Tea Rooms were established to take advantage of this new way of connecting the new cemetery to central Melbourne.

Behind the tea rooms' historic facade, visitors to Fawkner Memorial Park can take time out for refreshments. Tea, coffee and light lunches are served and takeaway items are available from the kiosk area.

Visitors to the park can also purchase fresh flowers.

Equipped with a small library, the tea rooms are a perfect, peaceful spot for friends and families to catch up and enjoy a Devonshire tea, or a refreshing cool drink or ice-cream on a summer’s day.

The tea rooms are ideal for post-funeral functions, anniversaries, 40-day services, and a range of dietary requiremenets, cultural and religious observances.

Hire includes:

  • Exclusive use of Function Room for 1½ hours

  • Crockery, cutlery and glasses

  • Serviettes

  • Cleaning and disposal after your function

  • Goods & Services Tax (GST)
